Course summary
This course explores the latest innovations and proven methodologies in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, with a focus on SAP environments through case studies and hands-on exercises. Participants will learn about ERP systems' objectives, functionalities, and implementation strategies, including the modeling, planning, optimization, and deployment of business processes. Practical sessions will delve into advanced SAP platforms, providing applied programming experience in ABAP for small-scale application development.
By combining lectures, group work, and individual assignments, the course adopts an interdisciplinary, practice-oriented approach to understanding ERP systems' critical role in digital transformation and Industry 4.0. Participants will analyze real-world business cases, explore innovative solutions for sustainable process optimization, and gain insights into ERP system architecture and integration challenges.

Our course recommends 5 ECTS points, which may be accepted for credit transfer by the participants' home universities. Meet the lecturers
Dr. habil. Orosz Gábor Tamás is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Informatics, Eötvös Loránd University, specializing in the intersection of informatics and business process management. He obtained his habilitation in 2021 with a focus on the competitive education of ERP systems for sustainable development and innovation. Dr. Orosz has over 20 years of university teaching experience, having led more than 50 students across bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels, and played a pivotal role in founding and coordinating ERP-focused academic programs. As a coordinator of the SAP University Alliances Program since 2009, he has been instrumental in bridging academic and industry expertise. His extensive industrial experience, including SAP implementations and product development, further enriches his academic contributions, making him a leading figure in the field of ERP systems and their applications.
